1. Who we are

Connect Technologies("we", "our", "us") provides managed IT support, security, and Azure operations to UK businesses. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website (connecttechnologies.co.uk).

Connect Technologies Ltd is registered in England and Wales, company number 11224965. Registered office: 128 City Road, London, England, EC1V 2NX.

This policy explains how we handle your information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.

2. What we collect and why

Contact form

When you send us an enquiry we collect your name, company, email address, phone number (optional), and your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you have made).

Security self-assessment

When you complete our Microsoft 365 security self-assessment we collect your name, company, email address, and your answers. We use this to calculate your score and email you your results and recommendations. Lawful basis: consent, which you give via the checkbox before submitting. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.

Booking a call

Calls are booked through Calendly, who collect the details you enter (name, email, and any notes) and share them with us so we can hold the meeting. Calendly's own privacy notice also applies.

Website analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, approximate location, device type). We do not load Google Analytics unless you accept, and you can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. Lawful basis: consent.

Technical data

Our systems record IP addresses briefly for security purposes, such as preventing automated abuse of our forms. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (keeping our website secure).

3. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this website and our communications, acting on our instructions:

• Supabase stores form and assessment submissions
• Resend delivers our emails to you
• Calendly handles call bookings
• Google provides analytics, only if you have accepted analytics cookies
• Upstash processes IP addresses briefly for form abuse prevention
• Our website hosting provider

We may also share information with professional advisors, or with law enforcement or regulators where the law requires it.

4. International transfers

Some of the providers above are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on recognised safeguards: providers certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or contracts incorporating the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries and assessment submissions: up to 2 years after our last contact with you, then deleted
• Client records: for the duration of our contract and up to 6 years afterwards, to meet legal and accounting obligations
• Analytics data: retained according to our Google Analytics settings, currently up to 14 months

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Have inaccurate information corrected
• Have your information deleted
• Object to or restrict how we use it
• Receive a copy of it in a portable format
• Withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve any concern first.

7. Cookies

This site sets cookies only if you accept them:

• Google Analytics (cookies beginning _ga): measure how visitors use the site. Set only after you click Accept on the cookie banner.
• Your cookie choiceis stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) so we do not ask you on every visit.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and any existing ones are removed. Third-party services you choose to use, such as the Calendly booking window, may set their own cookies, covered by their own policies.

8. Marketing

We only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, and every one includes a way to opt out. Emails we send in direct response to something you asked for, such as your assessment results or a reply to your enquiry, are not marketing.

9. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and rate limiting on our forms. As an IT security provider, we hold ourselves to the standards we recommend to clients.

10. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date at the top.
