How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Connect Technologies("we", "our", "us") provides managed IT support, security, and Azure operations to UK businesses. We are the data controller for the personal information collected through this website (connecttechnologies.co.uk).

This policy explains how we handle your information in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller.
When you send us an enquiry we collect your name, company, email address, phone number (optional), and your message. We use this to respond to your enquiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (responding to a business enquiry you have made).
When you complete our Microsoft 365 security self-assessment we collect your name, company, email address, and your answers. We use this to calculate your score and email you your results and recommendations. Lawful basis: consent, which you give via the checkbox before submitting. You can withdraw it at any time by contacting us.
Calls are booked through Calendly, who collect the details you enter (name, email, and any notes) and share them with us so we can hold the meeting. Calendly's own privacy notice also applies.
If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages visited, approximate location, device type). We do not load Google Analytics unless you accept, and you can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. Lawful basis: consent.
Our systems record IP addresses briefly for security purposes, such as preventing automated abuse of our forms. Lawful basis: legitimate interests (keeping our website secure).
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run this website and our communications, acting on our instructions:
We may also share information with professional advisors, or with law enforcement or regulators where the law requires it.
Some of the providers above are based in, or store data in, the United States. Where personal data leaves the UK, we rely on recognised safeguards: providers certified under the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or contracts incorporating the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and rate limiting on our forms. As an IT security provider, we hold ourselves to the standards we recommend to clients.
